General Comments

The language is good. But if it finds it's application then only when it has it's application in biosciences.

Python is very interesting language as compared to C and Java. But, it is too short time for this language.

Python is a easy language than C & Java. very useful, interesting but we have very limited time to learn this language.

Better & user friendly in comparison to other high-level languages

Quite informative workshop-sessions. Got a perspective of how python can be useful in BIOINFORMATICS; but still lot mored dneeds to be done (on individual front of-course!)
All the trainers made us feel quite comfortable which is nearly worth appreciating.

It is a very relevant & effective workshop which provide lots of knowledge about python. So it's too good way of teaching and support. I really very very appreciate it.

Python is very interesting and useful for biological problem. It is very easy to learn and step is less as compared to other programming. I want to learn whole programming and use our research problem.

It is good but if it takes more time for workshop it si better for understanding.

Effective, new language. It just in on going process in the manner advancement in programming. very tricky but with few drawback which is not considered it as very relevant and too detailed and even not too fast.

According to me, workshop must always be arranged. It is very informative for students.

very informative and so interesting.

It's very interesting and applicable in our field of bio-informatics. And it's makes the problem to solve efficiently.

found it very interesting & user friendly.

fine, really interesting language, which useful in research works. Thanks.

Very interactive.

Good.

Interesting programming lanuage & the way of teaching is really effective. I really appreciate it.

This use of Python in biological sciences is needed. Must be implemented in Biological problems rather than mathematical.
The language is pretty good but it don not make sense to biologist unless and until they find its application in bio sciences.

Python is very interesting and useful language but only 3 days is very little time duration to learn more because in it no large gaining is done.

Use of Python in bioinformatics is very interesting. We can implement it in knowing the FASTA sequence. Its application in biological sciences must be taught as it does not make any sense otherwise.

Python easily relate to Biology field with the computer language.

Problems were properly covered. It'll be more helpful if we work more in terms of Biological data

This is first time I come to contact with "Python". And very good is that the introduction classes are very good enough. Classes are fantastic.

Way of teaching is good. Some problem language.

Python is a very good language, easily understanding, take less time, very useful for us.

Quite interesting language and want to spend more time in learning and doing problems.

Workshop was informative & interactive, The efforts of trainer were really appreciable. We got to know different application of python in bio informatics.

Language is interesting will not make sense to the biologist unless we find it's application in biosciences.

  3. Effectiveness of methodology
    • 25 out of 35 people felt that the teaching methodology was effective.

  5. Applicability
    • 23 out of 35 people felt that they can apply what they have learnt somewhat immediately.
    • 8 out of 35 people felt that they cannot use what they learnt immediately.
    • 4 out of 35 people felt that they can apply what they have learnt immediately.
  6. Choice of Problems:
    • 18 out of 35 people felt that the the problems were interesting.
    • 12 out of 35 people felt that the problems were very interesting.
    • 5 out of 35 people felt that the the problems were somewhat interesting.
  7. Choice of Exercises:
    • 16 out of 35 people felt that the exercises were instructive.
    • 13 out of 35 people felt that the exercises were very instructive.
    • 6 out of 35 people felt that the exercises were somewhat instructive.

General Comments
1.It's Good.
2. Very Interesting language ,applicable to field . Any type of computational problem can be solved using this language . But it will take time to be perfect.
3.Good user friendly , every type of programming can be done using Python .
4.Sir we are studying Bio informatics which means we have enough information about Biology + we are now studying programming because its in demand . But that does not mean our background is changed .Although you are communicating and quite understanding , but we need some time to understand some concepts of programming and maths . Sorry , But its a fact .
5. It is very interesting and effective for our data sets
6. Python seems very powerful for my work .I am going to use it extensively .
7. It'll be better if this workshop is extended to more days so that there is more practice by participants by their own & then they can come out with problems and associate it with their domain .
8. Python language is very easy to learn and very useful to us but we have limited time to learn python . We are so lucky that we attended this workshop .
9. Python programming language will be very useful in Bio informatics research . The workshop was very useful as I had no idea about this language .
10.The sessions of today were quite informative and boring too .
11 .Interesting problems involving much of brain exercise were to done today . Due to time restriction, we were slightly uncomfortable . in finding the applicability of whatever we learnt in our problem areas . But again Practice makes the man perfect .Looking forward to more such workshops .
12. Please slow down the pace we are reading biology from the last five years and lost touch with our math . , try to understand !! .Most of us are reading computers for the first time . Plz don't demoralize us by using harsh words . (It's a request ) We are not excellent or genius but good enough in our biology domain .
13.Interesting and easy to remember due to presence of English words as the name of the function or keywords , flexible interesting but need time to have a command on this .
14. Python language is good and effective for us . There is no need to write so much long algorithms in C language . It takes less time to read a fasta file .
15. Language is interesting and error finding is easy in comparison to C language .
16. Due to shortage of time I can't use it immediately but it was interesting .
17. It is good but please increase time of your workshop .
18. I am very thankful to Ashokan sir , I learn more and more in this workshop .
19. In order to learn a language , it needs detailed description and rigorous practice . Merely 3 days workshop is not enough.
20 . Language is good but needs detailed understanding . It must be taught in regular class .
21 . This workshop is interesting for me and it will be very helpful for my future work .
22. Its very instructive .
23. I did not understand how to solve problems related to biological nicely .I want to learn more in detail to solve problems related to Bioinformatcs .I want that some more days must be given to these type of workshop .
24. Very helpful in Bioinformatics . Really time saving and interactive language .
25.Modern and Interesting language .Nice way of teaching and communication .
26. Python correlates the field of biology with programming and I think it is very helpful for Bioinformatics . But we need more time to learn .
27. Though the sessions are good and effective but as we are bio students it is a little more tuff for us to get programming immediately and we are also facing first time computer language . Sir ,try to be more cooperative with such students .
