AVIT Workshop Report

The following are the statistics obtained from the audience after the workshop in AVIT Chennai from 28 January to 29 January , 2010:
Day 1

  1. Range of topics covered:
    • 33.33% of the people felt that the range of topics covered were very relevant.
    • 57.40% of the people felt that the range of topics covered were relevant.
    • 9.28% of the people felt that the range of topics covered were somewhat relevant.
  2. Depth of coverage
    • 7.12% of the people felt that the depth of coverage was too detailed.
    • 79.92% of the people felt that the depth of coverage was detailed.
    • 12.96% of the people felt that the depth of coverage was not detailed enough.
  3. Effectiveness of methodology
    • 37.03% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was extremely effective.
    • 61.11% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was effective.
    • 1.85% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was not very effective.
  4. Pace of coverage
    • 7.40% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was too fast.
    • 42.60% of the people felt that the the pace of coverage was fast.
    • 46.30% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was just right.
    • 3.70% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was slow.
  5. Applicability
    • 40.74% of the people felt that they can apply what they have learnt immediately.
    • 48.14% of the people felt that they can apply what they have learnt somewhat immediately.
    • 11.11% of the people felt that they cannot apply what they have learnt immediately.
  6. Choice of Problems:
    • 35.18% of the people felt that the problems were very interesting.
    • 50.0% of the people felt that the the problems were interesting.
    • 14.82% of the people felt that the problems were somewhat interesting.
  7. Choice of Exercises:
    • 48.14% of the people felt that the exercises were very instructive.
    • 35.18% of the people felt that the exercises were instructive.
    • 16.68% of the people felt that the exercises were somewhat instructive.

    • 23.80% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was extremely effective.
    • 64.28% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was effective.
    • 11.92% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was not very effective.

    • 45.23% of the people felt that the the pace of coverage was too fast.
    • 14.28% of the people felt that the the pace of coverage was fast.
