BPRIM Workshop Report

The following are the statistics obtained from the audience after the BPRIM workshop conducted on 10 and 11 Oct 09:
Day 1

  1. Range of topics covered:
    • 51.5% of the people felt that the range of topics covered were very relevant.
    • 45.3% of the people felt that the range of topics covered were relevant.
  2. Depth of coverage
    • 90.6% of the people felt that the depth of coverage was detailed.
  3. Effectiveness of methodology
    • 28.1% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was extremely effective.
    • 65.6% of the people felt that the teaching methodology was effective.
  4. Pace of coverage
    • 12.5% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was too fast.
    • 78.5% of the people felt that the the pace of coverage was fast.
    • 9.3% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was just right.
  5. Applicability
    • 51.6% of the people felt that they can apply what they have learnt immediately.
    • 42.2% of the people felt that they can apply what they have learnt somewhat immediately.
  6. Choice of Problems:
    • 45.3% of the people felt that the problems were very interesting.
    • 48.4% of the people felt that the the problems were interesting.
  7. Choice of Exercises:
    • 32.8% of the people felt that the exercises were very instructive.
    • 65.6% of the people felt that the exercises were instructive.

General Comments
1. Good

2. I think the session should be split into two. One for python and the other of scientific programming.

    • 14.6% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was too fast.
    • 70.8% of the people felt that the the pace of coverage was fast.
    • 14.6% of the people felt that the pace of coverage was just right.

    • 22.9% of the people felt that they can apply what they have learnt immediately.
    • 60% of the people felt that they can apply what they have learnt somewhat immediately.

    • 14.6% of the people felt that the exercises were somewhat instructive.
